Sustainable Packaging UK

Sustainable production means little if the product then arrives wrapped in single-use plastic. Packaging is one of the most visible — and most overlooked — parts of a brand's environmental footprint, precisely because it's the part every customer actually sees and handles.

Here's how we approach it.

Recyclable and Reusable Mailers

Our outer packaging is designed to be either recyclable through standard kerbside collection or sturdy enough to be reused for a return or a second purpose — not the flimsy, single-use plastic mailers that dominate fast fashion shipping.

Plastic-Free Void Fill

Rather than plastic air pillows or polystyrene, we fill space with paper-based or biodegradable alternatives. It's a small change per parcel, but at scale, it adds up to a meaningful reduction in plastic waste entering the supply chain.

Minimal, Purposeful Branding

We've deliberately avoided over-designed packaging that exists mainly for unboxing videos. Every packaging element is chosen because it serves a function — protection, presentation, or information — not because it photographs well while adding unnecessary material.

Why This Matters as Much as the Product Itself

A candle made from responsibly sourced soy wax, shipped in excess plastic, undercuts its own values before it even reaches your door. We think about packaging as a continuation of the same design questions we ask about the product itself: does this need to exist, and if so, what's the least wasteful way to do it?

What's Next

Packaging is an area we continue to refine as better, more accessible sustainable materials become available — this isn't a finished project but an ongoing one. You can read more about how this fits into our broader approach on Ethical Production Practices.
